Undescribably beautiful experience – can´t wait to get back!

After 2 great weeks at TinTing I am super satisfied. With yoga twice a day I’m in good shape. Hilde arranged several exciting excursions. River trip in the mangrove swamps, a trip to the fish smokehouse in the nearest town, a drum course and a trip to the village to study trees and plants. Learned a lot, and it was also a very social and friendly stay. Thanks!

Pale and in need of rest my brother and I arrived at TinTing towards the end of January. When we returned home three weeks later, we had gotten new friends among the guests, in the kitchen, around the campfire and on excursions, we had learned a lot about West Africa and tribal culture, gotten to know the bush, the water systems, several villages and a beautiful island with a horrendous history, and we had walked for miles along fabulous beaches and had fun swimming in the breakers. Mindfulness without the fees, relaxing in a hammock in the shade.
And we had a vacation that was so good that I happily would go back.
A great vacation! Thanks to everybody we met at TinTing and who helped make this a great stay. What was especially appealing about this trip, besides all the fantastic and obvious things, is the fact that I being single am able to make such a trip alone in a simple and secure manner. It's good to not have to find out all the practical things on one's own - whether I want to take part in a yoga retreat or just have a relaxing vacation. I want to return to TinTing!

The holidays we had here were wonderful!
I can recommend TinTing as a great base for birdwatching and photography. Senegal has more than 600 bird species and is one of the most important places in the world for birdwatching. This because of the country's geographical location and diverse habitats. From November till April we can observe many species that come to Senegal for water and a warm climate. Some come from Norway, Sweden and Denmark - not very unlike us ourselves, actually..

Boat from Dakar to Casamance

Lots of spare time? Even the trip to get here can be an adventure! Fly to Dakar and spend the night on the ship along the coast to Ziguinchor, where we pick you up Want to come over land without taking a plane at all? It's possible, but takes much more time.
